Throughout October, the ICA will organise the four-session online training series: “EU Delegations and EU Compliance for the Cooperative World”.

The third session, “Building a Strong Value Proposition for EU Delegations”, taking place on 20 October 2026, will provide participants with practical tools to effectively present their organisation and engage with EU Delegations, Member State institutions and potential partners.

Building on the previous sessions, the training will help participants identify how their organisation’s strengths and impact can be aligned with EU and Global Gateway priorities, develop clear communication materials, and prepare for effective engagement with relevant EU counterparts.

What will participants learn?

  • Develop a clear and relevant value proposition for their own cooperative organisation.
  • Identify how their organisation’s strengths, impact and track record can align with EU and Global Gateway priorities.
  • Understand how to use practical communication tools, including one-pagers, concept notes and elevator pitches.
  • Learn how to approach, prepare for and follow up on meetings with EU Delegations and Member State institutions.
  • Explore how to identify complementary partners and build partnerships and consortia for EU and Global Gateway opportunities.

About the training provider

The training is delivered by European Academy, a European Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider specialising in EU policies, EU funding, project and programme management, sustainability and professional skills development. European Academy provides training and capacity-building programmes for organisations working within the European and international funding environment, with expertise covering the full lifecycle of EU-funded projects.

This activity is organized under the ICA-EU Partnership (2024-2028), also known as #coops4dev🌍, a five-year international cooperative development programme that aims to strengthen the ICA network and position cooperatives as key development actors within the European Union Development Agenda.
